What Will Destroy A Relationship? Dating Advice

Relationships are tough to maintain. They require a lot of work and commitment on behalf of both people involved. Reality is that there is no such thing as a perfect relationship and problems are always going to arise at some point regardless of how strong the connection is. Strangely enough there tends to be a few behaviours/traits in particular that can cause a relationship to self-destruct. The following are some of the most common.

  1. Being stubborn - Stubbornness is one of the most common destructive behaviours or traits. People who are stubborn tend to never back down or make any concessions. In a relationship this can create many problems so you need to be aware of it. If you are stubborn then it’s something you should evaluate.
  2. Being resentful - Harbouring feelings of resentment is incredibly dangerous and damaging to the health of any relationship. Resentment is when one partner harbours a negative feeling without ever really dealing with it productively. Over time it grows worse and the resentment grows before it spills over into other areas of the relationship. Avoid this altogether by being open with your partner.
  3. Repressing feelings - This is closely tied to resentment. The more resentful you feel and the more you bottle up your emotions then the more aggressive you will become. This will end up manifesting itself in your relationship and damage it potentially beyond repair.
  4. Infidelity - This is one of the most common relationship destroyers. A strong relationship is based on trust and commitment to each other. Infidelity is a guaranteed way to kill any of that and in many cases it will leave a relationship beyond repair.

These are some of the most common relationship killers and all must be avoided if you want to have a healthy and strong relationship.
